• Alternative Clothing & Alternative Fashion

Alternative clothing means an alternative to familiar mainstream clothing. Mainstream clothing usually does not differ much in design and style, and its patterns are often reused and only slightly modified. Alternative clothing therefore aims to offer its own individual fashion style and, with regard to fair manufacturing, to provide an alternative to mass-produced fashion made under poor conditions.

Organic clothing essentially consists of garments made from natural materials such as cotton, wool, or hemp, for example. In addition, several certifications are now available that distinguish organic clothing based on environmentally friendly production, giving consumers the opportunity to consciously purchase more sustainable clothing. 

• Boho

The term Boho comes from the French word bohème and refers to an unconventional and nonconformist style of fashion and interior design. In France, the term Boho was coined by an artistic movement in the 19th century and also refers to an unconventional lifestyle with social and political views that differ from the mainstream.

Baja is a region in Mexico consisting of the two Mexican states of Baja California and Baja California Sur. Baja clothing originally dates back to the colonial era. Spanish settlers once wove Verga fabrics there in the traditional way and made them into Baja Hoodies and Baja Ponchos.

A Baja Hoodie is a pullover with a closed front, a large hood, and the large kangaroo pocket on the front that is typical of Baja Hoodies. It is usually made from woven Jerga fabric, which is striped and has an ethnic look.

Ethno comes from the term ethnology. Ethnology examines the social and cultural structures of ethnic (historical) tribes. Accordingly, ethno fashion and ethno clothing are based on the fashion styles of traditional tribes. Woven fabrics and bright colors are typically associated with ethno-style clothing.
