Hemp Shoes and Espadrilles for Men

Espadrilles are summer shoes in the truest sense: lightweight uppers, flat soles, no lining. Our styles are made from hemp and jute instead of leather or synthetics - making them breathable, durable, and vegan.

We offer three basic styles: slip-on espadrilles, closed slippers, and open sandals for hot days.

Why hemp?

Hemp fibers are among the strongest natural fibers of all. For shoes, that means the upper can withstand significantly more than cotton, absorbs hardly any odor, and becomes softer over time instead of looking worn. It is also more dirt-repellent than most other natural materials.

Espadrilles, slippers, or sandals?

1. Espadrilles: the classic. Flat, lightweight, with no fastening. For the city, beach, and festivals.
2. Slippers: more closed and a little more supportive around the foot. The better choice for longer walks.
3. Sandals: open, for hot days. With a firm sole, they are not intended as shower shoes.

Depending on the model, the soles are made from rubber or jute with a rubber coating - both are slip-resistant and significantly more durable than pure bast soles.

Which shoes go with harem pants?

Because the trouser leg ends at the ankle, the shoe is clearly visible. Flat styles are almost always the right choice here: They do not add bulk and preserve the drape of the trousers. A low crotch and a high heel work against each other visually.

Fit and sizes

Our shoes run rather narrow. Anyone with wide feet should choose one size larger. The upper gives a little after a few days and molds to the foot - unlike plastic, which stays as it is.

Since there are no insoles, they are best worn with thin socks or barefoot.

Care

Do not put them in the washing machine. Coarse dirt can be brushed off when dry; treat stains with a damp cloth and a little soap. Then air-dry them, never on a radiator - this makes the sole hard.
